![]() I had a pretty relaxing Sunday today, so I decided to play around with a couple of photos that I found from a couple PhotoZafaries I had done in the past. Again, just wanted to do something fun today and had the amazing feeling of creating a million layers in Photoshop. ![]() ![]() Well its been a while now since I've put something in here so here are a couple of the things that have kept me busy lately. About a month ago, I started working for a new advertising agency called Schifino Lee. I absolutely love this place, from the office decoration to the people that work in it, 'Slee' (which is the office's nickname) is a great place to work. Some of the projects that I have been working on include a lot of interactive work, starting with Eva-Dry and their necessity to upgrade, improve and position themselves as a very high quality product. After some concepting and a lot of work in the actual brand (identity, packaging, stationary and collateral) the website was definitely the next step to follow. Here is the design of the home page (hope I had the before and after) which I believe its a great solution that holds hands firmly with the rest of the brand. You can see the actual finish product at www.eva-dry.com and also check the video link, in which I created the entire thing that even though is a bit retail driven I came up with a very cool solution in regards of the animation of the actual logo. You can see the video directly at www.eva-dry.com/video.html ![]() Another project/client I have been working on at Schifino Lee, has been the rebranding of Cyprexx. This is a huge company that is works in the foreclosure business (which means that they are doing really well) that needed to step up and get out of their comfort zone due to the a lot of competitors threatning their market. Because of this we were assigned the transformation of the entire image of the company positioning it at the top among their competition. Here are the screenshots of the site which shows the approach that we tood towards this project. This site will be live this week because the entire company will be shock this week with the unveiling of the brand internally and to the world. I will be posting the animation that I created for their tradeshow booth and company screensavers. ![]() The Tampa Bay Lightning asked for new concepts for their new Ticket Renewal Package. One of the ideas was not to focus in specific players but instead concentrate into moments that showed passion, the fans and the town that harbors this amazing team. Graphically, its a continuation of the previous campaign but this time taking the focus off the players and keeping the same theme and treatment that maintains the aggressiveness and power of the sport. These are only some layouts from the series that I have been working on. (Original photography by Scott Audette Inc.) ![]() ![]() ![]() SIN is a small project that I have been spending some time on. The target is to present a new kind/brand of vodka to the different markets around the world, that presents a more youthful but still elegant and sophisticated recognition. The brand will use a provocative notion, with suggestive decoration that give the brand an unique positioning with its competitors. These are some of the initial logos that I have been designing that will later be implemented in different kinds of communication methods. ![]() This is a character that I came up the other day. I really like how its turning out but mostly I love the idea of drawing again. It has been a while since I drew the kind of illustrations that really appeal to me, and this will definitely mark a spot that will direct me towards making more and more. The sensation and idea behind taking a pencil and going crazy in a piece of paper has always been an addiction to me. I hope you guys enjoy it! ![]() This saturday was a very special one for Kelli, Sarrah (and yes it is not a typo) and myself. We jump in the car and drove to the Orlando Museum of Art to be part of the Re:Solutions Conference by the AIGA Orlando chapter. It was a very interesting experience due the caliber of speakers that were part of this event. Debbie Millman, Wright Massey, Dan Rubin, Jeremy Kennedy and John Deeb were interesting and inspiring people, they each presented a different context, direction and position of design. From advise about professional techniques to the equation of branding, they openly injected us with knowledge and experience, gave incredible examples of work and collaboration, presented the insight of the successful business owner, and engaged us with a passionate personality. ![]() One of the most important elements and attractions for the Tampa Bay Lightning is Vinny Lecavalier. Even though the team has not done very well this season, Lecavalier still shows himself as one of the top goal scorer in the entire game. This is a concept that Dom, Kelli and myself have been working on and finally brought it to life. The idea is very direct and straightforward, and even though is a bit edgy and maybe a bit rough because of the easy misinterpretation, it presents a great idea in a very simple manner. ![]() Sadly, the entire arena football league has been canceled for an entire year. Due to these unfortunately events, the entire 2009 campaign has been put on hold, and even though there was not much time to work on concepts, I was able to come up with these preliminary concepts for their outdoor. Hopefully the financial problems of the individual teams improve so we can see this sport back into action. ![]() ![]() ![]() A week ago I was call by a friend of mine and was asked to photo Becky and Christina at a ranch just outside the city. It was a very sunny day and because we only started shooting around noon it was very hard to control shadows. In the end, it became a very fun experience thanks to everyone's great mood and patience. Even though I had plenty of images to choose from, these are some of my favorite ones... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() About a week ago, I was finally finished with the new MOXI 7 website and my personal portfolio. I decided to go with a simple presentation making my projects the main focus thus letting my work do all the talking. I used a lightbox script in order to create a specific view of each work and be able to present different views of the multilayer concepts. ![]() |
